DEPARTMENT PROFILE

Mechanical engineering is one of the major activities in engineering profession and its principles are involved in the design, study, development and construction of nearly all of the physical devices and system. Continued research and development has led to better machines and processes helping the mankind. Mechanical Engineering activities at KVCET commenced in 2004 with an intake of 60 people. The Department aims at providing excellent teaching/learning environment to the students using various methodologies for good grasping of subject. The department has started its own CAD-CAM center to impart training to the students of mechanical engineering on various industry specific softwares such as CATIA V-5, making them adaptive to technical challenges.It also runs its own library well equipped with almost all reference books prescribed by the Anna University Curriculum.
