DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The department of Master of Computer Application was established in the year 2006. The department offers Master of Computer Application (M.C.A) which is a postgraduate course of three years duration; the intake capacities is 60 students per year.
The M.C.A Department is bestowed with an experienced team of faculty. members with excellent academic records and proficiency. Excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art computers with the latest advances in technology and comprehensive study material make the Department a class apart. The M.C.A. Department helps in providing the I.T. and Computer Industry with world-class talent and creating some of the finest software professionals year after year. By providing concept-oriented subject knowledge through a high quality teaching that is supplemented with practical training, the Department aims to bring out some of the brightest minds into the world of computers and technology.The success of the M.C.A. Department is attributed to its motivating and inspiring faculty members who handle subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Software Quality Management,Computer Networks, Mobile Computing, Distributed Computing and much more. The studentsgain high quality learning in several subjects.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

• The department has laboratories fully equipped and updated softwares.
• The department has got a department library consisting of text books, reference books, student project reports, conference proceedings, faculty development program materials etc. Faculty and the students of the department have got access to the department library.
• The department has got a technical association called SOCAD with activities through out the year to develop the leadership, organizational and technical sKills of the students.
• Opportunities for students to participate in various forums, technical and non-technical.
• Opportunities for students to take up industry based projects.
• Opportunities for faculties to take up Quality Improvement Programs (QIP).
• All MCA Students will be provided with a laptop at the time joining and class rooms are Wi-Fi enabled.
