International conference-II

The one day international conference on engineering,education, research and entrepreneurship took place on 24/07/11 at KIMS auditorium. In the inaugural session, Dr. Annamalai Regupathy, Managing Director , Smt. S. V. Meenakshi Annamalai, Director had honored the delegates with memento. Dr. V. Ilangovan, Principal, KVCET welcomed one and all gathered in the auditorium to the International Conference. Professor Robert O. Warrington of MTU, USA (Director, Institute for Interdisciplinary studies) delivered the first invited lecture on "Vision 2030 - Creating the future for engineering education". He stressed to improve the standard of the society engineers should come up with innovative ideas and implement it. Dr. Andrew J Storer, Director of Graduate Studies, School of Forest Resource and Environmental Sciences, MTU, USA, gave an invited lecture on "The Pavlis Institute for global technological leadership". He explained about the curriculum of the engineering students at the institute, various ongoing projects at the project centres. Professor Mary Raber, Associate Director, Institute for leadership and innovation, delivered third lecture on, The enterprise at Michigan Technological University Enterprise groups are formed and the students are trained to work in a team at MTU. Professor Anne C. Warrington from school of business and economics, MTU, USA gave an invited lecture on "Engineering and business entrepreneurship".
