DEPARTMENT PROFILE

Our College has taken a strategic initiative by starting the Biotechnology Programme in the year of 2002. The current student intake is 60. The department has dynamic, resourceful, dedicated, and highly qualified 12 faculty members with PhDs and M.Tech, and with experience in teaching, research and industrial processes and also supported with 3 technical staff members.





INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES


The Department of Biotechnology has full-fledged laboratories that include Biochemistry & Bio-organic Chemistry, Bioprocess, Cell Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Instrumental Methods of Analysis, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Downstream Processing and three Classrooms with Department Library.
The Laboratories are periodically upgraded as per the curriculum and as per the new developments in Biotechnology.
